bob - he was my long distance sweetheart for a few years and then he moved in with me. He struggled on and off with various illnesses and eventually passed away in May 2006 of unknown causes. He was the kindest man I'd ever known. The world makes less sense without him, but I'm doing the best I can to be someone he would be proud of.
mothra - my disabled mother who's actually a lot less disabled than she's been in years. From the summer of 2006 to the summer of 2007 she resided at a facility for physical rehabilitation. In that time she lost half her body weight and regained some mobility. YAY. As a political fatty, I don't celebrate weightloss, but I sure do celebrate regaining control of one's life. Having Mothra in control of her own life allows me to be more in control of my own.
Childcare Posse - the big lights in my life, my bebes. I've got 18 of them, aged 3-5. I am full of love for these tiny maniacs.
Other topics include my home renos, my various weird illnesses, DIY fashion, and indierock.
I'm becoming a little more careful about what gets locked up and who can see it.
It might take a while for me to add you back, especially if I haven't met you in person. Nothing personal, I've just become slightly more paranoid in my old age.
I used to update once a day, but I've been more erratic lately.
My rockstar sleep schedule continues to wreak havok.
I am trying to come to terms with this.

The old woman didn't say a word. Instead, she led me to the staircase where there were the ashy portraits I'd cleaned. Now my neighbor told me to try to guess which one she was. I studied the portraits carefully, but I had no idea which one she might be. They looked familiar, but one girl was too pretty, one was too sad, one was too silly to be my neighbor. Guess, my neighbor insisted. Go on. Which one do you think I am? Still, I could not tell. Look closely, she said, but even when I did I had no idea. At last I gave up. Who are you? I asked. Each and every one, my neighbor told me. She shook her head as thought I were a child rather than a girl about to turn sixteen Did you think nothing ever changed?
